singaporeans

i may not have said this before but i never really like singapore.
i mean, of course there are times where i still think its good.
i always thought to myself that our standard of living is so high,
everything needs money and all the prices are rising. yup, thats
the bad point and i have always dislike.
but, it is still considered one of the safest country.
although there are news like crimes, corruption and mrt breakdown,
i never thought twice to understand why, until my colleague made a
good point.
she's not singaporean, but she said she thinks singapore is a very good country.
the government help their people, increase quality of things etc
but my mum always says that the price goes down at one, and rise in another,
which i cant deny too. public transports does not have any problems in the past but
breakdowns are common nowadays because singaporeans are expecting more,
and better quality. although i cannot exactly say that they are trying to improve,
but they must have been trying to make our lives easier. but, the increasing
in fares is really something i feel, quite unnecessary. as we expect more,
we must know that nothing is perfect and things will go wrong.
"greater expectations leads to greater disappointments" right?
i admit that singapore do have its own good points and nevertheless,
such a small country like us managed to be one of the richest now. (i'm not)
we cant go on protesting physically, its illegal, hence, we complain.
but this law is keeping our country safe and keeping the economy up.
with all that said, i will still continue to complain, because we are never satisfied
as we live in this high standard society.
although i'm thankful for being in a safe place, the things we can do here are limited,
and if i could, i would get out of this country.
