when i was young, i have always hated my name.
because it sounds like a guy's name
and it wasnt common for a girl to have the name of ''Kai Wen''
yes, mostly guys are called Kai Wen,
but in chinese writing/characters, its different.
i always thought it didnt sound ''girly'' enough.
i only started to appreciate my name when i found out the meaning few years back.
and people also complimented on it.
i wanna thank my parents for giving me such a nice name,
as well as a meaningful one.
凯文 ---- is a guy's name and this is how its like in chinese writing.
凯雯 ----- this is my name and its for a girl.
the only difference is the ''Wen'' unless
their parents want another type of ''Kai''
there are many different types and of course different meaning.
well, i was never proud of my name when i was younger.
how foolish can i get.
only when recently i heard people asking for my name,
and which character,
and they said its a nice name.
i was surprised. i never knew my name sounded so nice.
basically, ''Kai'' means success in chinese.
''Wen'' simply means the patterns(?) of the clouds.
i found this online:
名凯雯的女子,想必在出生的时候很顺利,
她的出生伴随着父母千辛万苦的耕耘,喜得公主,
犹如打了胜仗一样开心。生命的凯歌已经奏响,
希望女儿在和谐优美的乐曲声中成长,长得就像天空中的祥云一样美丽动人。
by the name of Kai Wen(for girls), its a smooth delivery during birth,
she was born along with the hardships of her parents,
like a princess to them,
as if they had won a battle.
the victory song of life have been played,
hoping that their daughter will grow through a harmonious
and beautiful music, looking like the beautiful clouds in the sky.
found a reason to love my name more.
many already said its a nice name.
my parents chose the right name for me and i'm proud of it :)
