a women wrote a letter to 'juliet' 50 years ago and got a reply now.
back then she was afraid, and she let go of her true love, but, it's never too late.
(the guy is her grandson who happens to fall in love with the girl whom replied the letter)
50 years later.
fact: they're couples in real life.
this picture was shown in the movie.
it was a sailor kissing a women in white dress on Victory over Japan Day (V-J Day)
in Times Square in New York, August 1945,
when the President Harry Truman announced the end of war on Japan.
this picture was very popular.
but the US only celebrated V-J Day on sept 2, when the formal signing of surrender
took place.
and if you can see, there's a women peering over the sailor's right shoulder.
that's his future wife. he never knew the nurse she was kissing.
fact: the women was not a nurse, but a dental assistant.
i don't really care if anyone is reading this.
but i just finished letters to juliet. its good, not very good but good.
because i was expecting a little more dramatic process.
nevertheless, i like the storyline. oh, and the guy is cute.
a girl who is trying to find true love and a guy who doesn't believe in one.
i always believe in fate, destiny. because if you are destined to meet someone,
you will. and if fate means for people to be together, they will.
i hope i can, and i will, meet that person at some point of time.
and i'm really hoping he's not from this country.
was kinda into romance movies lately, i don't know why.
i've watched a few some time ago and i really love them.
recommendations: the notebook, crazy stupid love, crazy little thing called love.
the notebook, crazy little thing called love and letters to juliet have something in common,
that is, love is never too late.
i have not watched the lucky one, dear john and more.
but i saw the trailer and they seems good. all by nicholas sparks.
he's one good writer, really.
so after watching this movie, i not only thought about the story.
because it was filmed in Italy..... it made the story more romantic.
and yes, i added Italy to my countries-to-visit-when-i-have-money-list.
my cousin was married in rome, wedding pictures taken there too.
and it is really beautiful.
always have the urge to move out of this country, get out of the life here.
i'm tired, i need somewhere else.
i've even thought of travelling around and helping families with work
in exchange for shelter and food.
so i really hope i find that someone who will travel along :)
ps: british accents are sexy
