happy teachers' day!

had a great day today. and even though teachers' day is an hour away,
and that the teachers probably wouldnt be reading this,
i shall just do this for my own memories.
went back to bnss finally for the first time in 2013.
and sadly, ms amy is on maternity leave, hence, we didnt get to see her.
but, i saw my mentor aka history teacher, and english teacher.

i might be posting this after 12am hahha because i'm deeply immersed in my shows.
teachers play a big part in everyone's life no matter how much one wants to deny.
and there are many teachers and this position can never be full,
but its hard to find those we really care.

so after bnss, we had vegan burg, i was craving for that the other day.
and impromptu movie at katong. we caught percy jackson:
1. OMG for logan lerman and jake abel!
2. it was crap.
i swear... the last part was damn crap.

i had a teacher that made me into a leader and helped to develop/improve
my leadership skills while i was in primary school. i am very surprised to see
he is still teaching in my primary school now. (Mr R. Chua)

and my form teachers from p4 onwards are those who were very nice.
by nice, i mean, really really nice. couldn't thank them enough.

secondary school days are the days i missed the most, no doubt, the
teachers are a part of those good memories.
Miss Cynthia Oh, sec 1/2 form teacher who was constantly disappointed by
our class notorious behaviour but never gave up on us.
but really, the history lessons were quite boring. hahahah oops.
but... she never scolded us before. i really respect how she can handle our class.

and then we had Ms Amy for sec 3/4, i was really really afraid of her when i first
entered the new class. i cannot believe how a teacher has such a loud voice.
but eventually i got use to it and realise she's a really caring and funny teacher.
even though we disappointed her that very one time...
really must thank her for all the effort she put in for all of us.
and really really, this is true, she made me love maths.
i had another maths teacher in sec 2 called mrs tan, she's a very good teacher
but i think i was quite dumb back then to understand maths hahha.

not forgetting Miss Hou Yu and Mr Khoo, our co-forms.
Miss Hou Yu taught me chinese for 2 years? she's really easy to bully i swear.
but she gave all the help she can. it is sad she had to go back China.
China teachers are extremely helpful if you wanna learn. all my Chinese teachers
were all from China and maybe partially because i really like languages,
hence i put in more effort for this subject. my interest for chinese developed from learning
from these teachers from China. i remembered me asking her something
and i called miss li wei by her name, without the title. and Miss Hou was like "eh bu ke yi
zhe yang de!" probably cos sometimes i sleep in her class, so she would still monitor my progress
even after i moved to Mr Zhu's class.

last seen Mr Khoo at woodlands checkpoint this june with his wife.
glad i actually got to catch up a little. Best POA teacher ever... maybe cause there's only 2-3
in our school hahahah! i still remembered "okay class, check it out!"
but he teaches really well, i just dont have talent for this kind of
must-think-a-lot-and-see-situations-person. i prefer facts, dead stuffs.. not
that kind of dead... just those things that are already laid out there for you to solve.
small world, he teaches my sister poa too. our class made a lot of jokes about him
and he done a lot for our class to do well in tests/exams.
and his personal coaching really helps. even though i still cannot understand how
to do depreciation now. hahha! hoping we get to see him again.

my dearest mentor, Mdm Nurmah. hahaha so.... what was history lesson like again?
it was like recess time for most of us, and its like a relax time...
i seldom get called to answer her questions, probably because i always do her work,
but she always never mark, and i sometimes answer her question.
oh... the person who developed my interest in history was actually Miss Chua, intern teacher.
i chose history because i was only at the borderline pass at geog...
but thanks to miss chua, she made me love history.
and i thank mdm nurmah for repeating the same thing again and again in class,
and maybe marking leniently for our tests/exams.
and she did her job as a mentor. she's a very nice teacher, maybe sometimes you just
can't understand her teaching?

i didn't really have good experiences with my science teachers in lower sec..
i couldnt understand my sec 1 science teacher,
and my sec 2 teacher sometimes kinda pms... so... we become the victims..
Mdm Haliza was the bestttttt, i love chem because of her,
"if you havent been listening, please give me your 110%"
Mdm Haliza's famous words. she explains details carefully and made sure
we understood. she may seem fierce... but no... she's quite a cute teacher actually.
not forgetting our intern teachers, Mr Tam and Mr Teo.
they helped a lot too, especially Mr Tam, i bothered him a lot before prelims and o levels.
that was when he wasn't teaching in school anymore.
he gladly helped and explained to me over the phone.
damn clever la this guy.
i never really like physics... but i guess Miss Faizah was the best physics teacher i had?
freaking hilarious. i used to fall asleep in physics classes... erhem....

nexttttt, my favourite english teacher of all time.
i'm really glad they split the class during english because the teachers can focus on a
group of students better. and Ms Sultanah put in a lot of effort for our compos and compres.
and she has really funny eyebrows that me and zaheedah would laugh at
each time she does an expression.
used to find her lessons boring until we split classes. i think its really useful.
hoping we could plan a meet up with her after the o levels period.
i have encountered some english teachers that i like too..but she is my favourite.

as mentioned, Mr Zhu was my sec 4 chinese teacher. he's really nice
and he doesn't scold when we sleep in class, he just knock gently on our table.
i dont know how can a teacher mark so many compos seriously, and all
those exams paper. he motivated us and gave us tips etc.
i had really high expectations of myself for chinese so i was really glad i met this teacher.
fate or not, he taught all my siblings and 2 of us have already graduated.
apparently, he's having problems with my youngest sister, hahha not only him..
i am having problems communicating with her.
he was telling me "教你们四个兄弟姐妹,只有她一个让我最头痛。"
fun fact: Mr Zhu is married like i dont know when, i found out halfway when i was in his class.
i never knew.

last but not least...the teacher i am gonna disappoint most hhahah.
Mrs Foo, sorry... i dont have the brains for amaths. i can only do stuffs with facts.
i can never understand amaths.
but i did have a lot of fun during amaths class.
maybe you should have taught me maths hahha!
